Our Goals:
·To articulate, promote and define public policy and legislation generic to early childhood and youth issues ·To promote professionalism among the membership ·To foster professional relationships among its membership as well as allied agencies and organizations ·To collaborate with agencies/associations around issues affecting early childhood education and youth
Objectives:
·To maintain a presence at public policy governing boards, councils and committees ·To monitor and report legislative activities to the membership ·To formulate public responses as supported by the membership ·Provide professional development credit/hours approved by DCYF and RIDE ·Disseminate credible and accurate information through literature, e-mail and regularly scheduled meetings ·Keep abreast of current trends in early care and education and youth issues ·To train leadership around best practices ·To maintain active resource list for the membership ·To produce quarterly newsletters and meeting minutes ·To promote shared opportunities for grants and funding to the full membership ·To provide technical assistance and networking opportunities
